The first of three. A long trip
from the snowy hills of New Hampshire.
Welsh is a master on the bobcat,
even when his back wheels leave the earth.
Dove tailed milled New England white
pine will make up the walls of our home.
Up the grade and to the site. It
took another full day to move all the logs from the staging area, to the
building site.
It took until dusk to finally unload
the contents of 3 tractor trailor loads of logs.
Fifty nine hundred pounds of logs on a
bobcat with a maximum capacity of six thousand. Captain Bob had some sweat
on his brow when the load'n was done.

December
17th dawned cold and clear as three tractor
trailer loads of milled New Hampshire white pine made they're way up the Clement
Armstrong road and through the gate to Billy Goat Hollow.
